New developments have emerged in the disappearance of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, mother of Savannah Guthrie, as investigators analyze surveillance footage from her Tucson home. Images recovered from a Nest camera show a masked individual approaching the property at night, possibly carrying a firearm.
Former FBI agent Mark Harrigan told the New York Post that the way the weapon was positioned appeared “non-conventional,” suggesting potential inexperience. He noted that individuals accustomed to carrying firearms typically conceal them, particularly during criminal activity. A private investigator echoed that view, describing the positioning as awkward.
Authorities also highlighted the suspect’s apparent attempt to obscure the camera using nearby vegetation rather than tools, another detail some experts interpret as a possible mistake.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation continues to investigate and is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to Nancy’s safe recovery. No official suspect has been named, and the search remains active.
