Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s surprising new job for first time after eviction

Prince Andrew has reportedly taken up residence at Sandringham after being forced to leave Royal Lodge, with insiders describing him as a “total pariah” following renewed scrutiny over his Jeffrey Epstein connections.

On February 2, 2026, months after King Charles III formally evicted him, Andrew departed the 31-bedroom Windsor property under what sources described as “the cover of darkness.” The move came as newly released U.S. Justice Department documents reignited international attention on his past associations.

Prince Edward became the first senior royal to publicly reference the renewed allegations, emphasizing during a CNN interview the importance of remembering the victims. Prince William and Catherine later confirmed through a spokesperson they were “deeply concerned by the continued revelations.”

King Charles III addressed the issue directly, expressing “profound concern at allegations which continue to come to light” regarding Andrew’s conduct. The Palace stated the monarchy would cooperate with authorities if approached by Thames Valley Police.

Originally expected to vacate Royal Lodge by April, the latest revelations accelerated Andrew’s departure. He is now residing at Wood Farm cottage on the Sandringham Estate while renovations complete at Marsh Farm, his more permanent five-bedroom property.

The transition has brought significant lifestyle changes. Most of Andrew’s long-serving staff were released after Royal Lodge was handed back, leaving him with what has been characterized as “a skeleton staff at best.” Several staff at Sandringham have reportedly opted not to work for him.

Once relocated to Marsh Farm, Andrew will reportedly be responsible for hiring and paying his own staff. Sources suggest he may now need to handle everyday tasks himself, marking a profound recalibration of his status within the monarchy.
