A woman’s big butt means her va..

A study from Oxford University examined data from more than

16,000 women and found that fat stored in the hips and buttocks may be linked to certain health benefits.

Researchers reported that this type of fat, unlike abdominal fat, can support heart and metabolic health.

According to the study, gluteal and thigh fat contains omega-3 fatty acids that benefit the heart and brain,

help lower bad cholesterol, and improve blood sugar control.

“The accumulation of fat in the hips and buttocks can bring

important benefits to health and cognitive development,” the researchers concluded.

Lead author Dr. Konstantinos Manolopoulos said,

“Women with a higher proportion of gluteal fat tend to have a more favorable metabolic profile,

with a lower risk of heart disease, diabetes, or high cholesterol.”

The findings highlight how fat distribution, rather than body size alone, can influence health outcomes.
