Police are urging the public to avoid the area following a shooting at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital, located north of Detroit. The incident began around 7:08 a.m. Thursday when reports of gunfire in the hospital’s parking garage triggered an immediate lockdown and heavy law enforcement response.

Authorities confirmed the suspect is an employee of the hospital who allegedly targeted a 25-year-old coworker. The victim was shot twice in the arm and rushed to the emergency department, where medical staff stabilized him. Officials say he remains in stable condition and is expected to recover.

Police quickly secured the campus and apprehended the suspect without further violence. Investigators are still working to determine the motive behind the attack.
