Prince Harry Admits Bringing Archie & Lilibet Back To The U.K. Is ‘Impossible’

Prince Harry has opened up about his relationship with the United Kingdom and whether he would consider moving back with his family. The Duke of Sussex, 40, has been embroiled in legal battles with British tabloids over their treatment of his wife, Meghan Markle.

His security fight recently took a disappointing turn when Harry lost his appeal against a government decision. The ruling failed to guarantee taxpayer-funded police protection for himself and his family during visits to the U.K.

Harry described feeling “let down” and “devastated” by the court ruling. He said he was subjected to “unjustified and inferior treatment” but will not pursue further legal action, believing there was no way to win through the courts.

He criticized royal family involvement in the ruling, suggesting his father could resolve the issue. Harry stated he can only return safely if invited, noting there is “a lot of control and ability in my father’s hands.”

After losing the appeal, Harry shared his feelings with the BBC on May 2, 2025. He revealed he cannot envision bringing Meghan and their children back to England without adequate security protection.

Despite everything, Harry maintained he loves his country. He expressed sadness that his children will likely miss experiencing his homeland, saying “it’s really quite sad that I won’t be able to show my children my homeland.”

Harry also expressed desire to reconcile with his family despite ongoing estrangement. He noted life is precious and acknowledged his father’s advancing age, saying “It would be nice to reconcile” even as their conflict over security continues.<|end▁of▁thinking|>Prince Harry recently opened up about his relationship with the United Kingdom and whether he would consider moving back with his family.
